Bethany is an experienced teacher of cello based in Newark, Nottinghamshire. She has been teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities for over 20 years. Bethany currently works for the Nottinghamshire music Hub, teaching in schools across the county where she delivers individual and small group lessons to children in school years 2 up to 13. Bethany has experience in directing ensembles having run the Junior and intermediate level string ensembles and cello ensembles for Education Bradford and North Yorkshire music service. As well as her work with the music service Bethany teaches privately, teaching students of all ages and abilities.
Bethany coaches students for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall examinations grades 1-8 of which she has a 100% pass rate. Bethany is also happy to offer temporary coaching for auditions and examinations as well as teaching those that just want to play for fun.
Bethany teaches peripatetically and so is happy to visit you in your home for lessons. Alternatively, for pupils living further away, lessons can be conducted online. Bethany uses Zoom to teach online as this has proven to give a more superior sound quality compared to other online platforms.
All students are expected to have access to an instrument, either their own or hired.
